Call for Workshop Proposals

Invitation :



    The Organizing Committee of the 11th International Ankle Symposium (IAS 2026) cordially invites researchers, clinicians, and educators to submit proposals for workshop sessions. Workshops are intended to provide participants with highly interactive, hands-on, and practical learning experiences that bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and clinical application in foot and ankle health.



Scope and Topics :



We welcome proposals that address a broad spectrum of foot and ankle-related topics, with a particular emphasis on practical skills, innovative technology, and evidence-based practice. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:


  • Neuromechanical and biomechanical assessments
  • Clinical decision-making and criteria for Return-to-Sport
  • Advanced manual therapy and mobilization techniques for the ankle-foot complex
  • The use of wearable sensors and smartphone technology in gait and balance analysis
  • Neurocognitive and visuomotor rehabilitation strategies
  • Interventions for mitigating cartilage health and preventing post-traumatic osteoarthritis


Submission Guidelines :



Proposals should be submitted in English via the official symposium website. Each proposal must include:


  • Workshop Title: A concise and descriptive title.
  • Lead Presenter(s): Name, affiliation, and a brief biography (max 150 words) highlighting expertise in the topic.
  • Description: A summary of the workshop (max 500 words) including the theoretical background and the practical/hands-on components.
  • Learning Objectives: Three clear objectives identifying what participants will be able to perform or interpret after the session.
  • Technical Requirements: Any specific equipment or space requirements (e.g., treatment tables, specific sensors, or participant-supplied devices).


Review and Selection :



    All proposals will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee based on scientific merit, clinical relevance, interactivity, and the potential to enhance the symposium's educational value.



Important Dates :



  • Submission Deadline: June 15th 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: July 1st, 2026
  • Symposium Dates: November 14–15, 2026
